Get Off That Thang!
“Get off that thang and dance till you feel better!!!” so screams the Godfather of Soul, James Brown back in the 60’s. That is amongst many other things like “Take me to the bridge!” and “Hot pants!” as well. We never really got the “hot pants” bit though…
Get Off That Thang!, a mini-music fest which showcases music containing elements of funk, jazz, Latin percussiveness and that oh-so-irresistible groove. Be swayed by our performers who will dish out heartfelt soul and off-kilter rhythms. Be convinced like the young man in a galaxy far, far away who “felt the Funk”.
Soul’D Out, Ugly In The Morning, Syawla Evol, Fatskunks, Dancing Nancies, Throb and B-Quartet will entertain you, getting you to “get off that thang” and dance the whole night through. Just be sure when you are busting your moves, they are so good that no one comes up to you and say that their grandmas dance better.
